About CLM

Our History - Cummings, Lamont & McNamee, PLLC, was formed in 1960 when John M. Cummings opened an office in Kennebunk, Maine. It is now Maine's largest CPA firm south of Portland with offices in Kennebunk, Maine and Portsmouth and Stratham, New Hampshire.  The firm has been a member of the AICPA Division of Firms since the beginning and continues to be a member in good standing.

Our Mission Statement - Cummings, Lamont & McNamee is a regional CPA firm of trusted business consultants and financial advisors, who identify opportunities, provide solutions and deliver exceptional personal service to individuals, closely held businesses and other organizations.

Our Vision Statement - At Cummings, Lamont & McNamee, we strive to provide...
      •  the optimum client experience through expert, timely and proactive personal service, and
      •  the optimum employee experience through a supportive, challenging and enjoyable team environment.
      •  for the long-term financial success of the Firm so that we can reward ourselves and grow through investment in our people and the Firm.

Our Objectives - Our first objective is to be the best CPA firm in the areas we serve by helping our clients obtain their goals. We achieve this objective by dedicating ourselves to these four principles:

  • Quality Service.  We hire only qualified people, provide training opportunities, strive to evaluate them regularly, offer competitive compensation and encourage continued training and specialization. We strive to develop each employee's professional abilities to the maximum.
  • Timely Service.  To be of highest quality, our service must meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Growth.  We plan to grow both in size and in the range of services we offer. To accomplish this, we seek clients who are growing. We will continue to become skilled in new areas, to recommend needed additional services for existing clients and to create new services for our firm.
  • Personal Fulfillment.  We hire people who are personally compatible with the firm. We look for employees who are self starters. We encourage freedom of expression, so long as it doesn't infringe on other employees' rights. We encourage personal growth.
